Welcome to the Thomas Jefferson Middle School Website. Our goal is to make this resource valuable to the Wasco community and school staff by providing useful, up-to-date information for parents and local users of the internet. The 2008-2009 school year promises to be another great year. We hope this web site will be a useful tool in keeping you informed on what is going on at your school.

Mission

Thomas Jefferson Middle School is committed to meeting the educational needs of all children through a partnership of the school, parents, and community. This educational commitment includes the opportunity for every student to be successful, develop a positive self-image, make decisions, and grow academically, socially, psychologically, and physically. This is evident in our continued increases in our state standardized testing scores. We encourage any input that helps us, make a better impact on our students educational goals.

Whats Going On

Parent Conferences starting the week on October 27th to 31st.

Monday -Thursday    1:30 - 3:30 PM

Friday                               1:30 - 2:50 PM

Night Conferences   Wednesday  5:30 to 7:30 PM

Parents can pick up report cards from your students first period teacher. If a special meeting needs to be addressed please call the school at 758-7140 for assistance.

Announcements

First Quarter ended on October 17th.  Ask your child about parent conferences to pick-up first quarter report cards.

Basketball teams will soon be forming up for afterschool sports. Come and watch the Cougars play!

There are lots of things going on after school every day at Thomas Jefferson Middle School. We have after school migrant  classes learning about robotics..... Special help in reading and writing.... We have a special program helping at risk 8th grade students get help with homework untill 5:00 PM.

 We have ASES after school programs open to all students who want to be envolved with computers, board games, physical activities, homework help,and nutrition, We have lots of space for more students to be envolved.
