English learners are provided a rigorous, intellectually rich, relevant, developmentally appropriate standards-based learning experience with instructional scaffolding that supports comprehension, active engagement, participation, and mastery.

Effective Professional Learning Communities (PLCs)

    • Focus on advancing student learning
    • Meet and collaborate on a regular basis - weekly site PLCs
    • Promote a spirit of collaboration, inquiry, and reflection within PLCs
    • Analyze student work and student data
    • Intentionally support PLC meetings
      • Provide school-wide guidance on how to effectively facilitate a PLC
      • Monitor the effectiveness of each PLC

Ensuring a systematic process that guarantees every student receives the additional time and support needed to learn at high levels

    • Continuous identification and development of Essential Standards, Pacing Guides, and Common Formative Assessments
